Lightning all over the world makes the space between the ground and the upper atmosphere ring like a bell. Its lowest note — the fundamental Schumann frequency — sits near 7.83 Hz.

Each pin shows the station's latest F1 (or main metric). Green = updated in the last 6 h, amber = 6–48 h, grey = older or offline. The blue-labeled pin is driving the big number at the top. Relative / uncalibrated series are marked. Tap a pin or Europe row for details.
Automatically detected: NOAA Kp ≥ 5 (geomagnetic storm), Tomsk F1 outside its normal range (consecutive readings merged into one episode), and Activity Index ≥ 75. Click an event to zoom the top chart to it.
A relative statistic of Tomsk's digitized data: each 30-min F1–F4 and A1–A4 value as a robust z-score vs its own trailing-72 h median/MAD; sub-scores = RMS of frequency z's and amplitude z's, index combines both, 100·tanh(rms/3). <25 calm, 25–50 normal, 50–75 elevated, 75+ high. Reflects lightning/ionosphere conditions and digitizing noise — not anything about people. No multi-station index is published: the other stations' digitized data is too sparse/biased so far (see agreement table).
All stations that publish an F1 (or relative F1). Relative/uncalibrated series are dashed. Biased stations stay out of the Activity Index.
Same zoom / pan / range controls as the top chart. Relative series are labeled in the subtitle.
bias = station − Tomsk chart (mean), MAE = mean |diff|, med = median |diff|, r = correlation. Different stations see slightly different values; image resolution is ~0.1 Hz/px (Tomsk spectrogram, BGS), ~0.15 Hz/px (Etna), ~0.07 Hz/px (Cumiana).

Tomsk line charts (F1–F4, A1–A4, Q1–Q4): pixel-digitized from SOS70 72 h charts; axis from printed tick labels; ~0.01–0.02 Hz/px. Preferred source for the top number when fresh (<12 h). Since 2026-11-01 sos70.ru has been dropping TLS; the headline falls back to Nagycenk, then BGS.
Spectrograms → numbers: each image's colour bar is used as a lookup table (pixel colour → position on scale), axes calibrated from OCR'd tick labels and verified on gridlines; per 30-min column, the brightest row inside each mode band (F1 6.5–9.5, F2 12.5–16, F3 18.5–22.5, F4 24–28.5 Hz) gives the peak frequency (sub-pixel parabolic fit); peaks not clearly above the band background are skipped, never guessed. Intensity I1–I4 = colour-scale value at the peak (BGS: calibrated log10 pT²/Hz; others: relative 0–1).
Nagycenk (Hungary): nckobs.hu daily figure (updated ~10 min); F1–F3 read from the observatory's own Ez frequency panel (complex demodulation), not re-peaked from the spectrogram. BGS direct: geomag.bgs.ac.uk currentSpectrogramCH1.jpg (yesterday UT); same digitizer as the SunGeo mirror. When BGS drives the headline, values are shifted by +0.05 Hz (minus the measured BGS−Tomsk bias of −0.046 Hz). Hoje←Tomsk JSON: ressonanciaschumannhoje open series (also dead while sos70 is down).
Tomsk SOS70 spectrogram (also mirrored by sungeo "latest", schumannresonancelive, schumann-frequency-today): 0–40 Hz, 10 px/Hz, 3 Tomsk-local days (UTC+7), 3 min/px. BGS Eskdalemuir: daily UT spectrogram, date OCR'd from title, F4 not extracted and F3 cut at 21.3 Hz because of fixed instrumental lines. Etna: title UTC time = right edge, verified against the 2-hour gridlines; F1 not extracted (6.5–9.5 Hz shows a broad ~9.0 Hz instrumental hump). Cumiana: only the plotted "2nd SR frequency" line (F2); hour labels treated as UTC (station time zone not stated).
SpaceMonitor Cumiana: 0–30 Hz panel (calibrated) and daily strips. GCI001/GCI004/GCI005 (NZ) — daily HeartMath originals (SPGRM date), posted next day: no printed axes — relative F1–F4 assuming HeartMath's 0–50 Hz / 24 h UTC day; observation day from the dated filename (SunGeo mirrors are hash-matched, never fetch-stamped); labeled relative and kept out of the index. Etna F1: narrow 7.0–8.4 Hz band to dodge the ~9 Hz hump (sparse). Cumiana chart: F2 plus ULF10/ELF100/geophone dBm.
Times shown in your browser's time zone. Normal range on the top chart = median ± 2.5 robust standard deviations of all Tomsk F1 history.
